Jennifer Anistons Zen Hillside Home

Jennifer Anistons single level hillside home, overlooking Beverly Hills was featured in the march edtion of Architectural Digest.
Jennifer collaboarted with designer Stephen Shadley for almost 2.5yrs on the house and says she "is so proud of the house & wants to celebrate the master craftsmen who poured so much of themselves into its creation"

Aniston wanted the home to have a "zen like quality, with a sense of drama for entertaining"
Fantastic entry - 14 foot doors entered over a travertine bridge spanning a koi pond

Looks more like a resort than a house!!

I think it looks great - lots of textures with a really moody & plush feel.

Jen says she thinks the house has an glamourous old fashioned hollywood feel & can imagine the rat pack stopping by to play the piano.

The kitchen has a pizza oven & climate controlled wine room,
and a dining room that seats 24 around a long walnut table.

The fruitwood Sauter piano

The house has been updated from its oriogional 1970's form but has also retained some of the 70's characteristics like the custom made platform bed & the wool & silk shag carpet in the bedroom.
Jen looking very zen ;)

Style A to Zoe

Ok - I admit it - i bought her book...
(& stole the name of the book for the title of this post :)
She is incredibly stylish & i love her polished 'glam hippy' trademark style.
Of course you'd expect her to have a stylish house ~
So here it is - her Hollywood Hills home
Loving the stacks of books around the fireplace in the background

Beautiful indoor palm.

Cow hide adds a bit of texture to the minimal space.

A bit of fashion in the bedroom with some missoni cushions
Gorgeous home office
(this is my desk chair in my office too by the way!)
wonder if my boss would mind if i chucked a zebra hide under my desk??
Just getting around in her casual 'around the house' outfit ;)

check out her website for more bits & pieces from Rachel Zoe.

Snail Mail....

Happy Friday all! xx Image: Weheartit
oh i love the excitment of letters in the post!
wouldnt mind a pink letterbox either! lol

This is the template for the stamp i ordered - it looks fantastic!
(was very excited to receive it in the post yesterday!)
here are some more of the templates you can use below;

I really love getting hand written envelopes in the mail ~
(for some reason it excites me!)
Doesnt happen that often these days & when it does its usually from my nanna!
A few weeks ago i saw a post on Made By Girl
about US based graphic designer Sara Crowly who makes customised return address stamps!
I went over to her Etsy shop to have a look and was surprised to see that for only $29 usd ($31 aud) you can have a customised stamp made & posted to you here in Australia!

.....Yes, i ordered one!
A day later she emailed me a proof (which looked amazing!)
and then 2 weeks later, there it was in my letter box!!!
(i ripped it open at the box & stood there stamping the parcel it came in lol)

Cute, personal, and affordable!
One of these could make a great housewarming present too ~
Head over to her shop to check it out for yourself!

Window display gold...or um yellow!

I just went on my lunch break & saw this great bit of window display porn!
(dedicated to all the things i love!)
Kitchenaid Mixer + Limoges Tea set = heaven!!

Unaffordable heaven...
$170 for a single teacup & saucer + $750 for the mixer + $270 for the blender
:( oh well a girl can dream!

inside more gorgoeous displays of tea cups - these are a bit mroe affordable at $55

in love...& out of $$

How divine is this Burberry Prorsum trench coat
.....shame its $4195!!!!!
Id like to know what normal person can afford one
(and why they put such a weird looking model in the pink one!)

right now id like to be..

Instead of sitting at my desk working on a council submission, right now id like to be at home, with a good coffee, looking at design blogs on my laptop & lifestyle food on in the background...

Not that i have foxtel.or a laptop.
