Clam shells

Has anyone else noticed how covetable a giant clam shell has become?

I was discussing this with Claudia from Peep My Style last week. 

We were musing over the fact that there was a time when everyones Nanna had one in the bathroom..

Im now seeing these popping up in interiors stores for over $1000! Crazy!

Console me

I am totally obsessed with a good console set up!

My one pet hate in our apartment is that they didn't put a power point near the front door.

 Meaning we can't have a lamp on our entry console table. 

I barely ever use the down lights, I'm a real lamp/ambient lighting girl - so candles it is at the front door!

Coffee Table +Flowers

Lets finish the week off with a visual flower feast!!

Theres something so swoon worthy about a coffee table with gorgeous looking books & some divine flowers. 

Throw in some crystals & scented candles & you have the coffee table jackpot! 

A weekend project perhaps? Head to the flower markets, gather some of your favourite books & have a play with your coffee table!

Dont ignore the front door!

Dont forget the area around your entry! Dont let it become a dumping ground for shoes/keys/junk mail/bags (ok ok im guilty of doing that a bit). Let these examples inspire you to give your a makeover! Given i realise we dont all have the amazing spaces to start with but dont let that stop you!

Ok, first new post on the 'new & improved' once daily chic (still tweaking - feel free to comment on anything that needs to be fixed up!) I have to apologize for just rabbeting on about wedding 'stuff' for ages....its kind of consumed my mind! With only 5 weeks (holy crap...) to go you dont have long to wait for me to shut up about my inspirations for this & that! To tie you over here are some of my fav console's of late - console tables are one of my other favourite things! These seem to have a theme - chic black & white with pops of colour! How amazing is the artwork in the first image! Anyone know what it is?! Ohhh how nice are the bigger images!
