Heidi Middletons Bedroom/Ensuite

I recently came across these images of Sass & Bides Heidi Middletons home. 

She lives on Sydneys Northern Beaches - isnt the the outlook to die for!

What do you think of her open plan bedroom/bathroom?

I know i could definitely see myself in that bath and its interesting how the bathroom doesn't look like a 'bathroom'..

More like subtle furniture pieces that work in with the bedroom !

Guest Room

At the moment our spare room consists of the following;

Art that hadn't been hung yet

A bed with no bedhead

All our bits & pieces we have been getting out to pack for our trip.

In short it looks like a dump!

When we return I'm going to get to work making it a great guest room! 

Bedside Lamps...

Yet another decision to make for our new home.....bedside lamps!

Its an important one for me - im a bit of a lamp lover!

You might remember this is our old bedroom {from the adore shoot}. 

We had a pair of big white lamps with gold lined shades either side of the bed.  

I love using larger scale lamps next to a bed as i feel small lamps just look...piddly! 

Unfortunately one of these lamps got broken when we were moving, so we need a new 'pair'...

My decision is, do i use a similar kind of thing - large with nice fabric shades....

Or to change it up with something more minimal & industrial like these......

Hunting for George

I've just come across the fantastic online store Hunting For George.

A collaboration between melbourne sisters Jo Harris & Lucy Glade-Wright. 

The store features local & international designers, with a mix of  home wares & clothing.

        I am particularly in love with their bed linen!

Im a bit of a fan of the simple Ikea 'malm' drawers.

We have the 3 drawer version as bedside tables - hello storage!!

Sleeping Beauties

I have been so busy lately - work is crazy and I've had quite a few commitments in presenting the documentary from our african trip.

If you follow me on instagram you'll know i had a whirlwind overnight trip to melbourne for the World Diabetes Congress last week.

I've always been one to value my sleep {i tend to be an early to bed type when i can!}

Alaina Bedding by Biscuit

Ok, so we all know about my love of Paris.

I am just dying over this gorgeous Alaina bedding from Biscuit Home; seen here on the bed of the lady it was named after - Alaina of Live Creating Yourself. And how AMAZING is her bed head!!!! Designed by the equally amazing Baily of Peppermint Bliss. 

Ok I'm going to stop gushing now...a bit sad when sheets get you this excited.....
