I started following Ashton & Harper last year & loved her style & the gorgeous print business she launched at the end of 2013. 

I got the biggest surprise after making a joke on a picture of her 'chic' print that she should add 'once daily' to it...

I checked my post box one day to find a beautiful custom gold foil 'once daily chic' print! 

Actually, I almost cried in the post office i thought it was so thoughtful!

I love supporting other women who are working for themselves & also those who practice random acts of kindness! :)

Burnt Orange Spring/Summer Fashion Event

On Thursday 29^th August, BURNT ORANGE in Mosman will be holding a special evening to showcase their Spring/Summer womenswear, menswear, childrens clothing, accessories and homeware collections, from 5pm to 8pm. I love going to burnt orange with my girlfriends for brunch & then having a browse through their gorgeous shop.

My friend Lydia-Jane Saunders will be the guest stylist at the event. 

There will be mini-manicures by a Butter London manicurist whilst enjoying delicious Champage and Canapes.  Some of the brands available in the shop include Cote Table, Avoca, Lazybones, Nordal, Sophie Conran, Anna Gare bakeware & a range of gorgeous interiors & cook books. to make it better a 10% discount applies on the night.

Im sure by now you all read the fabulous Adore Magazine!

Loni, the creator is hard at work trying to raise funds to create a gorgeous hard cover Adore coffee table book - i think this would be amazing! She is raising the funds to publish it it herself through Pozible. When you donate towards the cause there are many different rewards you can choose from & the newest addition to the list is a fabulous shopping tour of Brisbane's interiors design stores!

Custom Wardrobe

A while back I completed this custom wardrobe for fashion stylist Lydia-Jane Saunders.

The space was compact but lots of room for accessories, shoes & bags was a must!

You may remember the before photos from this post! (yes i know it was a while ago!)

Lydia used some gorgeous ceramic knobs she'd collected on the drawers which looked very cute!

If anyone is after any custom joinery - wardrobes, bookcases, vanities, wall units etc -  its one of my favorite things to work on & i have some great joiners in the sydney area! If your out of town its easy to work over email & then send the drawings through to you as PDF's which you can then use to get quotes from your own local cabinetmakers! Aylie & Dennis' wedding in Cosmo bride!

I was bridesmaid for one of my best friends late last year (she was also mine!) & her wedding is in the latest Cosmo bride! They got married in the most beautiful greek church & the reception was at the wharf restaurant which had not only an amazing view but divine food! And of course her dress! Amazing! Lydia's Wardrobe - Before.

Lets just say the tenants who live in the apartment she has recently purchased don't exactly keep the wardrobe in a...um.. stylish state!

 Part of the brief was to come up with good looking & practical storage for Lydia's extensive collection of handbags & clutch bags. Heres how they currently live.....

We wanted a solution where the bags would stand up & not fall over & also a better way to store & see all the clutch bags. Lydia also wanted lots of half & full hanging. 

I couldn't resist giving you a peek at her shoe collection;

 I have included a low pull out shoe shelf for her flats, but the heels however weren't part of the brief...Lydia has purchased a custom made shoe cabinet for these! Hell Yeah!

A website for meeee!

Hi all!

So ive been getting quite a bit of  my own work lately 'on the side' from my full time architectural job & have decided its time to have my own little website & branding. For those of you who dont know im an interior architect - i do all kinds of things from the 'fun stuff' like conceptual plans, the design of entire houses (layouts, kitchens, bathrooms, custom wardrobes & joinery, lighting etc) and doing all the detailed building & joinery plans, to the less fun stuff like preapring all the reports for council submissions & certifiers.

Luckily i have a very talented freind who is an amazing graphic & web designer & is helping me out.
(i posted about her wedding here)!
So what id love to hear from everyone is suggestions of great blog/website/branding design for me to go & have a look at for some inspiration! Layout/colours/branding etc! Have you seen anything you think is great lately??

Maybe one day ill have one of those offices for myself that i keep posting about :) Ill leave you with some images of great desk/office spaces of where i plan to spend my days eventually! FYI when you come to my office there'll be fresh flowers, a nice big central table with an enourmous pendant light, cool chairs, coffee and champagne. See you there!
