Dining Chair Dilemma

Im having a chair dilemma for my new place.
{Always the way when its for yourself!}

I have always wanted upholstered chairs a bit like this.....

But we are going with a round dining table & want 6 chairs & they simply wont fit!

Recently I've become obsessed with Malawi chairs {thanks Manyara home!}

But i also don't think 6 of those will fit either!

The husband just came out to look at some things with me & he likes the good old cross backs.

They are a classic & you cant go too wrong, but something in me is wondering if they are boring??
What are your thoughts?!

Home Office / Library inspiration

This week I'm designing a home office with a bit of a 'library feel' for a new client 

{who i know reads the blog, hi L!}

Loving the new homewares in the latest Country Road catalogue!

I received 2 sets of these Muuto wall dots for my birthday so cant wait to get them up on the walls of our new place! 

Plus i think i need that cross blanket in my life!!

Ikea Malm in the Bedroom

Im a bit of a fan of the simple Ikea 'malm' drawers.

We have the 3 drawer version as bedside tables - hello storage!!

It's My Birthday!

Its my birthday today & I've given myself the day off. There has to be some advantage to working for yourself right?! 

Work has been crazy busy the past few weeks (even did a few all nighters - first time since uni days!)

Im having a haircut, then off for lunch with 2 of my girlfriends who are on maternity leave & can join in for a mid week lunch! 

Tonight i'm out for dinner with Ben, my parents & his parents at SoCal. I looove mexican inspired food (and a margarita!)
Pretty excited for what this year ahead holds - new home, euro trip & lots of great projects on the work front!

One Fine Day Wedding Fair {this weekend!}

The amazing One Fine Day Wedding Fair is on this weekend!

 It's a super cool 'boutique' style fair with lots of beautiful & fun ideas & vendors showcasing their work.

 Not your average old boring wedding expo thats for sure!

Heres a taste of what you can expect; this is a shoot they did with some of their vendors at the Boat House at Palm Beach recently.

 Isn't it to die for?! If your engaged i highly recommend heading along for some inspiration!

My Work - Cottage Kitchen

In the same house with the cute bathroom i showed you last week, we also re-did the kitchen!

We knocked a wall out between the existing kitchen (think coloured 1970's laminate) 

& a sitting room (that was dark red & very gloomy) to open it up to one big space & it came up a treat!

JK Palace Capri

Firstly; Ikat armchairs i need you in my life!

And now a few other shots from the divine JK Palace Hotel, Capri....

We visited capri last year on our honeymoon.
We took a day trip in a little wooden boat from Positano which was great fun!
A lot of people & boat watching to be had, along with snorkelling & soaking up the sun on the way.
Once you are there, be sure to visit the amazing gardens & perfumery right at the top of the island.
