My Work - Laundry Before & After

In the same house that i renovated the ensuite i showed you on monday, was also this lovely laundry!

Dark, kinda falling apart, little storage & NO bench space! Oh, and the guest bathroom for the house is accessed by walking through it.

 Not ideal when its not exactly the prettiest space for your visitors to get an eyeful of on the way to the loo! 

So we got to work on changing this!

Chevron & Floral Bedroom Makeover!

I have been a long time advocator of the fact that bedrooms should be a sanctuary; a restful retreat from everything else going on.
They should have minimal clutter & be a place you can truly unwind. Isn't one of the best feelings getting into a bed made with clean & crisp but soft sheets? When it comes to bedrooms, i worship at the alter of 'all white'. Since i was 17 i have only ever had white sheets & doona covers & a white waffle blanket. I find it a peaceful & restful colour to have in the bedroom...

My usual bedroom scene;

Recently though, i have been convinced to try something new! (As good as a holiday right?) 

The lovely folk at Adairs sent me over some of their gorgeous products to try that were both right up my alley (hello floral & chevron!!!) 

Those of you who follow me on instagram will have seen the new chevron sheets which I'm a tad obsessed with! 

This delivery inspired me to give the bedroom a little girly makeover; i framed the prints i bought in Paris for the bedside table & made a trip to the flower markets for some roses & peonies....

The sheets tied in really well with my all white scheme as for the most part they were hidden away & are a fun surprise when you turn the bed down to jump in! They are the Mercer + Reid Stella Zig Zag sheets (& also come in a lovely pale aqua).
A fun way to incorporate some chevron into your decor!

Then there was the Mercer + Reid 'Petal' quilt cover set - Hello!! 

So lovely - it has a gorgeous watercolour look to it, & I'm told was hand painted & then turned into the print.
And how fun does it look with the chevron sheets! I think the combo is really modern & so on trend at the moment!
It has really 'prettied' up the room & i admit, this 'all white worshipper' may have even been converted!
Wonder what the husband will think when he gets back from working in the country this week....

The whole new look even inspired me to makeover the bedside table!

My grandmother gave me the antique silver tray to put my jewels on which I'm in love with.

My work - Ensuite before & after!

I photographed a recently finished project last week and I'm really excited to share the before and after photos with you! On this job we renovated a little ensuite bathroom, the main bathroom and also the laundry and guest bathroom. Today I'm going to share the 'before and afters' from the ensuite! It is about 1.5m x 1.5m & was originally built in the early 80's. The existing layout wasn't able to be altered, but we wanted to give it a makeover that was a bit more 'luxury' and had that 'hotel' feel to it.

Glamourous Little Girls Room

How totally glamourous & sophisticated is this little girls room - I love the drama of the black chandelier against the pretty tiffany blue! Seagrass or Jute carpet is a great idea for a kids room too!

Skirt weather!

Just spied this skirt on pinterest....

And realised it was the skirt the husband made me buy in Paris (Zara) after he'd noticed me pick it up every time we went in there! 

Its the colour! Amazeballs!

And heres me in it! Not quite as glam as the above image but hey! 

We were checking out the old castle in Ville Franche (next bay around from Nice, in france) and were doing a bit of stickybeaking at them setting up what looked like the most ridiculous wedding - there were tables set up for at least 600 people!
And a stage/sound setup that would have suited a U2 concert!

Yoga

A few reasons to go to those yoga classes! 

Despite clearly not being able to bust out these poses at first, i have to admit you do feel improvement in your flexibility & ability to get into poses quite quickly! You always walk out of class feeling quite light & 'clear', albeit exhausted!
I can finally go back this week after my post appendix recovery!

Saturday bedside table..

Managed to drag myself out of bed at 6:30 on this rainy Sydney day to go to the flower markets! No particular reason, just felt like a few blooms to freshen our apartment up! Here is my bedside table with some of the roses i picked up.

Taylor Sterling's {The Glitter Guide} Wedding!

Its been a while since i did a wedding post {i think I've been wedding'd out!}but this has reignited the flame! I'm sure we all know of the Glitter Guide (and if you don't get on over there!) Its founder Taylor Sterling is the ultimate 'glitter girl'.

I loooved her wedding that was featured on 100 Layer cake this week

The giant balloons from Geronimo are to die for and her bouquet...peony perfection! :)

Witchery fav's

There are quite often days where i will look down at myself & realise that every single thing I'm wearing (I'm talking everything including my handbag, shoes & earrings!) is from Witchery. They just seem to get it so right! I was having a little browse on their W Edit section of their website & came across a few items i might have to go out & have a hunt for i think! especially loving that glass dome candle holder!
