Emmas Place

A few of you have asked to seee a bit more of my freind Emmas Apartment as it had a more 'masculine decorating style' to it....your not wrong! Emma's boyfreind is one of the blokey'est blokes i know & even a pendant light is considered boarderline too 'girly' for him! And Emma is a self confessed neat freak who has never really liked much clutter or a tonne of colour! So here are a few shots of how she has made their rented apartment a home for her & her blokey man friend!

This shot of her living room was up on made By Girl a few weeks ago showing the custom print she ordered. She had to change the heart in the print to a + though so it was allowed to be dispalyed hehe

She even had a go at colour coding her bookshelf!
Turned out well i think!

The kitchen & the pendant she managed to sneak in!

Stick on blackboard calender - this house is super organised!

Cute little bathroom signs add a bit of character!

And a bit of colour to soften up the bedroom!

  1. Ooooohhhhh.... LOVELY apartment!!! I like that it looks so neat, but still super sylish! I like the use of colour, and I LOVE that painting behind the couch! I can see a great blend here of two styles, obviously the colours are more masculine, but there are female touches here and there - a good compromise! LOVE IT.

  2. Hi there Sal,

A friend recommended your blog to me and i must day i love it! I have been reading it every morning with my coffee and have just figured out how to become a follower. I wanted to do this to comment on this post. Emma's apartment is amazing. Is she a fellow blogger, does she do something creative for a job? I like the style, the noguchi coffee table and a sneak peak of a ghost chair, can you add a picture of the dining table/ghost chairs - I would be keen to see that.

    Alison - your newest fan!

Sal, you should post about your fab friend's apartments more often - this one is fab!

  4. Thanks for posting about this apartment. Emma and her boyfriend have very nice taste - nice colours in the painting on the bookcase. I might try to colour code mine now.

  8. Can't stop thinking about this apartment! I am sick to death of all the apartments you see out there that look like they came straight out of the pages of Real Living Mag (even though I love that mag)... all the apartments out there in the blog world seem the same to me. So cookie cutter and the same prints and decor keep cropping up in everyone's home.

Sorry for the rant, but this is a compliment to this apartment for featuring DIFFERENT and UNIQUE style and decor. Sal, maybe you can nominate this apartment for Adore Magazine or something... so more people can see this fresh style.

Cheers - p.s. love your invites!
