The Block 'All Stars' finale!

I must admit i haven't been able to watch as much of this season as i have others
(we have a scheduling conflict - the husband is addicted to My Kitchen Rules!).
Two if the rooms that i liked the best have belonged to Josh & Jenna - they did the most amazing bathroom & kitchen.
2 of the most important rooms in the house in my opinion!
 So i wonder who will win tonight?!

Byron Bay - Shopping!

We've been back from our trip to Byron for over a month now - seems like an eternity ago!
I discovered that Byron is not just about the beach - there is some fabulous shopping there too!
Here are a few of my favouite places to have a browse {& make a purchase!}

HOPE & MAY {20 Fletcher Street, Byron Bay}
This was most definitely my favourite shop in Byron, a haven of all neutral sophisticated, laid back bohemian glamour!
I went home with a few of the little skulls, one of the divine crosses to add to my wall and a couple of byron bay style jangly bracelets!

AHOY TRADER {Marvell Street, Byron Bay}
Cutest little shop with the most amazing hand painted ceramic tiles & crosses.
Run by local artist Jai who is responsible for the awesome tiled wall at Miss Margarita.
It also has a wealth of gorgeously packaged soaps, cushions & jewellery.
Don't miss it!

BYRON BAY MARKETS {1st Sunday of the month}
Go to people watch & pick up some local produce or craft.
If your into dream catchers, beads or raw organic produce this is the pace to be!
Also some great muso's busking, grab a juice or coffee & chill out under a tree!

And up in Bangalow {we hired a car for the day} you must check out....

THE BANGALOW PHARMACY {23 Byron Street, Bangalow}
Hello they sell Missoni & Savon de Marseille Soaps
(i dragged my poor husband all over Avignon in France looking for these!)

ISLAND LUXE TRIBE {62 Byron Street, Bangalow + 11 Marvel Street, Byron Bay}
If nothing else, go just to admire the beautiful store itself {got a spare $600 for the shorts below?}

RED GINGER {38 Station street Bangalow & 111 Jonson Street Byron Bay}
Asian cooking & goodies galore. Plus a little cabinet full of dumplings if you'd like a little yum cha!

Well, there you have it - Byron isn't just about the beach!
Its beach + great eats + great shopping!
Beware if your flying there with Jetstar cabin baggage only, your shopping haul might be limited :)

Coffee table styling perfection

Happy friday dear readers!
Love this whole look - although i think the table needs to be about 3 times as big!
For a rug like this one there are some excellent buys to be had at both Ikea & Spotlight.
If you want to find yourself a tray like the one pictured check out The Brown Trading co.
They are about to release a range of trays just like this :)

Adore Home Shopping Tour!

Im sure by now you all read the fabulous Adore Magazine!
Loni, the creator is hard at work trying to raise funds to create a gorgeous hard cover Adore coffee table book - i think this would be amazing! She is raising the funds to publish it it herself through Pozible. When you donate towards the cause there are many different rewards you can choose from & the newest addition to the list is a fabulous shopping tour of Brisbane's interiors design stores!
Read a bit more about it here on the Adore blog.

Please do go & help Loni out by pledging towards the book on Pozible.
It would be amazing for Loni who created Adore as a single woman show, to realise her dream of publishing a book!
(you don't get charged unless she makes her target & its hardly a charge when you look at the goodies that come with it!)

The Card Shop

I am a big fan of all things stationery & typography. There really is nothing better than receiving a hand written note in the post is there
(in fact i have just RSVP'd to a wedding via snail mail on some personalised cards my mother in law gave me!)

Last week when i was at Warringah Mall (Sydney) i stumbled across the newly opened 'The Card Shop'!
A new shop dedicated to fabulous cards that are 'contemporary unique & premium quality, but at a great price'.
Cards range from $4.95 - $5.95 in price or $12 for 3

The Card Shop is owned by UK company, Chili Marketing, who also happen to own Rekorderling cider!
(These Chili Marketing crowd sound like my type of people!)
The shop has cards designed by Chili designers, along side designs by local Northern Beaches designers Anita Waters & Sue Punton, & also cards by Vogue photographer Helen Cathcart, so there is certainly something for everyone!
