What are the components that make these work?
In my opinion here are some elements to steal for a styling console!
1. Start with a table of your choice
(get on ebay - there are million of great options for next to nothing!)
2. Symmetry
3. A statment lamp, lamps or wall lights (see above!)
4. Artwork such as plates, a map or some framed personal photos
5. A great mirror
6. Fresh flowers - gorgeous anywhere & a nice welcoming touch!

Venetian mirrors in the bathroom

Sophie's French inspired bathrooms are ALMOST finished!
Here is a small sneak peek....You can see we decided on white hexagonal mosaic tiles & they have come out looking absolutely beautiful. Exactly the delicate textural look we wanted - very pleased!

Now we need to find a decorative mirror for the main bathroom.
I think a venetian mirror will look fantastic, we just have to find the right one!
Here are a few examples....gorgeous!

Cant go wrong i reckon!
Stay tuned in a week or so for the finished bathrooms

Fijian Bliss!

As i have mentioned only a few hundred times before our Fijian holiday was perfect! Total tropical paradise & not a cyclone in sight! Although sadly after almost 2 weeks back home its starting to feel like it was a long time ago!
Here are some of our piccies!

Headphones in my favorite colour!
How thoughtful of you V Australia!

First cocktail of the trip at the Westin for one night before heading out to the islands

Gorgeous walkway along the seawall infront of our room

Late afternoon light over the pool

Matamanoa!

I took this out of our kayak on our daily circumnavigation of the island - only took 15 mins in a kayak to go right around!

Our beachfront bure had a little wooden sign with our names on the door - cute!

Inside our spacious home for the week!
Almost the same size as our apartment back home ;)
The ceiling was made from hand painted tapa cloth. There are 20 beachfront bures like this & 13 garden rooms so only about 60 people there at any one time & no kids under 16!

The veiw from our balcony down to our own beach chairs & hut!
One step into the water & there was amazing coral & colourful fish!

Ben popping the champagne for our 6 year anniversary the day we arrived

Sunrise walk

No one on the private side beach except for us!

Having a swim out the front of our bure

The veiw from our breakfast table every morning

Lunch,
A fijian specialty, raw fish marinated in coconut milk, chilli & lime juice

Sunset

Sunset champagne at the top of the island

and look what we saw down below us!
We think he was about 7 foot!
AND we had been snorkelling right here earlier in the day!

Went sport fishing - was awesome!!
Look what i caught - 2 big spanish mackeral

Go team! We got 8 spansih mackeral & a tuna (that im holding!) We took the tuna & a mackeral & gave the rest to the boat captain for his family.

The boys were pretty impressed with themselves as we strolled back up the beach through the pool area to drop them off at the kitchen to be cooked for our lunch & dinner! After we came back everyone who'd been sitting around the pool went & booked to go fishing the next day ;)

Our little afternoon beach bar infront of our bure

Veiw from my pool lounge over the reef

Kayaking

Bye Bye paradise (but only 3.5hrs away so i think we'll be back!)
If you want to see for yourself check it out
The only thing that id say wasnt amaaaazing was the food, pretty basic, you cant expect 5 star when they only get deliveries once a week & hey i was mostly there for the sun & the water ...and the cocktails ;)

Please think of our Police today...

Today is a sad day in my household.
My boyfreind Ben is a policeman & worked with Constable Bill Crews who was fatally shot last week. The funeral is on as i write this. The community support seems to be amazing, but not always do people respect & admire our Polcie here in Australia.
I think today is a good reminder to us of the dangers our Police put themselves in every day, for little pay, so that we can all be safe. Please keep Bill Crew's family & all the NSW Police in your thoughts today
