Vegetable Patch
I love gardening.
There is something so satisfying seeing something you have planted grow. A few weeks ago i went to an event hosted by Jamie Durie & we were all given a packet of coriander seeds to take home. Last weekend i planted them in pot we had free & what do you know, yesterday it was full of green spouts! My excitement was somewhat childlike i suspect ;)
I also have a pack of seeds for baby tomatoes so they'll be finding a spot this weekend! We grow rosemary, mint, oregano, chives & have a bay tree - one day i would love to have a big vegggie garden where we can grow as much of our food as possible!

The Wedding Nest
Last week i met up for a chat with Jacqui from The Wedding Nest
Firstly - where was this registry when i got married!!!???
Secondly - we had a very unconventional 'meeting' of a coffee {ok yes thats normal}....
Then we got our bikinis on & went for a swim at Balmoral! Hello - my kinda get together!
Like our style of 'business meeting', this registry isn't your conventional arrangement!
Although they do have the registry 'basics' {kitchenware & linen} the focus is on beautiful home wares, statement artwork & furniture.
To help guide your choices, the site is curated in 4 styles - French, Eclectic, Beach & Contemporary.
Jacqui tells me they stared the business after their own weddings, when they realised there was a gap in the market.
None of the beautiful things they'd seen in magazines were available on any registries so they set about creating the type of registry they had wanted to use themselves!
The Wedding Nest thrives on making it personal;
They love the couple to provide them with magazine pages, Pinterest boards etc & can help curate registry items based on your style.
There is even a styling service by Imogen Naylor, who will help you choose items & then style it once the goods arrive!
Im having trouble looking at their stunning website without wanting to re-do my wedding registry! {vow renewal??}

Registries are laid out visually so your guests can see the 'look' they are helping to create.
This 'lookbook' style & reference images helps make the registry more personal & the gift giver not feel like
they are 'just giving a vase but contributing to the whole style of your home'.
Some of their suppliers include; Penny Farthing Design House, Ahoy Trader, Bonnie & Neil, Mud Australia, Uashmama & Mateus Ceramics. But they also have one off items from exotic locations - think juju headdresses & cowrie shell necklaces.
If you are about to tie the knot get on over to The Wedding Nest & deck out that house of yours :)

Bathing Beauty
I came across this image the other day and fell in love.
While designing a bathroom recently, the debate over the possibility of not having a shower screen came up.
{And caused quite a reaction when i put the idea out there for comment on facebook!}
In this case i think it works a treat - Im also loving the exposed rail shower & the choice of tiles.

A world map is one of my favourite decorating items for a children's room.
I can one day imagine showing my kids all the places we have been & they can go!

Wednesday Wisdom
This little wisdom has had a big impact on me this week.
Saw it on instagram when i was feeling a bit glum & have been thinking about it ever since.
It was a huge reminder that things could be a whoooole lot worse in this world.
Sometimes we need to be reminded that we are very lucky to be who we are, live where we do & have what we have.
