Green bean, Lentil & Haloumi salad

Making this for dinner tonight & adding some broken up chicken bratwurst sausgaes! Seriously though, how good is haloumi! Receipie care of Madison Magazine

200g haloumi, broken into bite-sized pieces
200g green beans, trimmed
3 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
1 tbsp lemon juice
1½ tsp Dijon mustard
½ eschalot, finely chopped
400g tin lentils, drained and rinsed
50g baby spinach leaves
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 Preheat the oven to 240°C (220°C fan-forced). Place the broken haloumi and beans onto a lightly greased baking tray and cook for 10–12 minutes or until haloumi is golden.

2 Meanwhile, place the oil, lemon juice, mustard and eschalot into a large bowl and whisk to combine. Add the lentils, spinach, cooked haloumi and beans. Toss to coat in the dressing. Season with salt and pepper and serve

Winter Living Rooms

The winter chill is here in Sydney. Although we are quite lucky that winter usually involves sunny days & much less freezing weather than what the rest of the world would call winter! In any case i find in winter, sunny days or not, its definately a time to nest into a cosy living room! Im loving dark walls & fur throws at the moment!

Armchair Collective - my new obsession!

One of my clients took me here for coffee after a site visit last week & i am officially obsessed! 'Armchair Collective' right down near the beach carpark at Mona Vale (Sydney) on Darley Street! Its an awesome eclectic homewares store with a cafe & bar all rolled into one! I cant rave about it enough so ill let the piccies i took do the talking! We went for a coffee & i was very lucky to leave without clearing out my bank account! All i can say is GO THERE!

Coffee Nook

Maybe its because since we bought a coffee machine for home i seem to be becoming a tad more addicted to the liquid gold stuff, but I really like the idea of creating a little nook in your kitchen area dedicated to coffee! (or tea) This one has to be my fav (& ive posted it before i know!) from the house of a south african architect featured in Real Living magazine.

All the cups on display looks so cute!

No coffee machines here but would be the perfect spot!

This one doesn't have a coffee machine either but its such a cute little corner i had to include it! (& im a bit partial to a kitchenaid too!)
