My DIY inspiration board!
We all love a good inspiration board! So, inpsired by these great pinboards i saw over on Brynn Alexandra a few months back i decided to have a crack at making my own!
Via Brynn Alexandra..
And heres how i did mine ..........
You'll Need
A corkboard,
Enough fabric to lay over it with some overhang
Spray adhesive & upholstry tacks (i got mine from spotlight)
Upholstry tacks - about $5 a pack & i needed 3 or 4 packs.
First spray the pinboard with spray adhesive - best to do this outside as everything will get covered in a nice sticky film otherwise ;) yuk! I actually admit i didnt use the adhesive, but it would have laid smoother if i did! Then lay the fabric over & smooth out! Trim the sides off leaving about 2 inches to fold around the back.
Tack out the corners & then work your way in! Quite hard to get even but i just guessed & it came out ok!
Ta Da!
.....and here she is hanging up in our laundry!
Looks pretty cool if i do say so myself!...although now its toally covered & you cant see the fabric or the tacks....a bit ironic after going to so much effort ;)

Jen Ramos + Cocoa & Hearts!
Is there nothing Jen Ramos of Made by Girl fame cant do?
She's about to open an online shop to sell her paintings that we often see on her blog in her own home - she shared these on the weekend & im totally smitten! Those colours on the bottom one are to die for! Cant wait for Cocoa & Hearts to open so i can grab one! Infact this bottom one has got me inspired with 'wedding colours'!

An interview with Dizzy Wizzy Design!
Earlier this year i was helping a friend look for ideas for her wedding invitations & stumbled over Dizzy Wizzy Design. Based in Western Australia, Dizzy Wizzy is the workings of graphic designer Natalie Sullivan. I was first hooked in by these cute invites! no guesses why ;)
And then found these beautiful ones too!! Swoon!
She also does calendars, calling cards, gift tags & completely customised invitations, where you work with her to create something thats just right for you!
Yeah, i know - how cute are these!
So decided to add Dizzy Wizzy to my wedding inspiration list on my blog!
About 2 weeks later i had a lovely email & phone call from Nat, saying she had just discovered my blog through the extra traffic she'd been getting after i'd added her on my sidebar! Turns out we had a lot in common & had a great chat! Nat has featured a little interview with me over on Dizzy Wizzy Ideas Blog! The night we were chatting happened to be while ben & i were driving down the South Coast, the night before he proposed.... I think you'll be hearing a bit more about Nat & Dizzy Wizzy as i work on our wedding invites ;)

One Year of Blogging!
This time last year i was sitting at my computer working out what to write for my first ever blog post! Would anyone read it anyway? would i be able to find things to blog about? in any case i was excited! And now i know why! The past year has been amazing. I have never felt so inspired or encouraged! In the last year i have launched my own business & gone to 4 days a week at my full time job, completed decorating our new home (ahem*...but we all know thats never finished!) and made some amazing new friends....I love your comments & thoughts on my posts, your friendships & encouragement! The blog world is a truly great place!
Happy Friday Freinds! :) Im off into he city to have lunch for a friends birthday and then to go check out the bridal collection at Collette Dinnigan at Woollhara! Good times!

Help me win an engagement photoshoot with Tim Pascoe!
Howdy all! Today 2 very exciting things happened! One of which was that, last week i entered Ben & I in a competition on wedding styling business 'The Lane's facebook page....and today we were selected as one of the 20 finalists out of hundreds of entries to be in the running to win an engagement photography session with amazing photographer Tim Pascoe, styled by Poppy Lane! As most of you will know if you saw the story of our engagement in this post, Ben proposed just after we'd been for a swim in a lake in our undies...and me in a fairly ugly sports bra....not my 'hottest' moment! Id love to win this & have some more 'glam' photos that we can keep...no sports bras! Pretty please take a second to hop on over to facebook (come on, you spend ages on there already!) & give us a 'like'!
Here's how you can do it!
By sharing their engagment story with The LANE, Sally & Ben are in the running to win an engagement photography package by award winning wedding photographerTim Pascoe with beautiful styling by Poppy Lane.
To vote for Sally & Ben:
Step 1: Like The LANE Facebook Page Step 2: "like" Sally & Ben's Photograph
The couple with the most "likes" by 9am Wednesday March 9th 2011 will win!
